Amada is a green oasis in the center of a very busy town. The main attraction is the lovely terrace in Greek style. With daily fresh fish and sea food and a mix of Mediterranean styles, you can not go wrong. The menu is limited to what they have fresh that day or what they have prepared, so always ask the waiter/cook for details as they are the menu. Wine selection is not large, but the present ones are specific for fish and sea food. Better call for reservation as it’s only open at evenings and only 45 people can sit at tables. Do mention our website, we’re good friends.(Radu Cristian Str no 3, $$)

Alioli, owned by a Romanian family that lived in Spain for eight years, they returned to Bucharest to prepare genuine valencian and andalusian dishes. The chef is Spanish, the ingredients he uses come directly from Spain and the restaurant has always at least one table of Spanish eating there so it’s as authentic as it can be. The down side is that it’s a smoking restaurant so that can be a bummer. Best sangria in the city! (Popa Tatu Str no 4, $$$)
Beraria Gambrinus ( Gambrinus brewery) is at the ground floor of Hotel Cismigiu, more a pub than a restaurant. it’s a place were to go to meet friend for a beer. Order the meter beers, taste “mici”, witch is kind of meat balls or the “patricieni” sausages . It takes some time until they bring you the food…but it is good. Don’t forget is all about beer there!( Regina Elisabeta Bulv no 38, $$)
Mesogios it’s all about sea food in an Greek style. You can choose you calamari, shrimps or lobster from a big window display. The menu is exclusively around fish and seafood so don’t expect other Greek dishes which not contain fish. It is considered by many the best restaurant for fish and fresh seafood.
