Raw food

Where to eat raw, vegan and unprocessed food.

In the last years more and more people prefer raw food. Unprocessed foods or processed foods at temperatures below 40 degrees Celsius. Many argue that we should turn our eating habits toward raw and vegan food since most of the food is processed food that is really not healthy. Some experts believe that cooked foods above 40 degrees has lost much of its nutritional value and that is less healthy. Even if I’m not raw vegan enthusiast, I made up a list with the best restaurants in the city center.

Barca

Barca

Barca is one of the most beautiful raw restaurants I’ve lately been to. Full of light and elegant, with warm and very friendly staff, willing to give you answers to any confusion that you might have with the menu. The menu is well furnished offering you all, including some cooked dishes, but all vegetarian – rice, mushrooms, lentils, peas, soups. A pleasant surprise was to find wine in the menu. Of course, not every wine, it’s an organic wine (no sulfides). They have a small shop from where you can by goodies for home.

The shop windows are full of vitality, raw foods and super foods dishes. Their specialties are leavened bread, bread raw, snacks, cream, pate, soups, salads, desserts and juices & smoothies, all super delicious. Satya

Satya

Satya is one of the first opened raw vegan restaurants. The decor takes you somewhere in India, the atmosphere is pleasant and intimate. They offer dishes cooked by healthy eating principles with carefully selected ingredients, food for body and soul. It is an alternative for those who choose to give up meat, occasionally or permanently. The ingredients and spices are used in optimal proportions and compatibility so as to provide balance, harmony, life energy and effects for the body.

Rawcoco

Rawcoco

Rowcoco is the heaven of healthy sweets. Who doesn’t want to eat something sweet without feeling guilty? In a chic French atmosphere, you will be delighted by their truffles with hazelnuts and cocoa, cookies with lemon and carrot. The cakes are amazing, cool stripes, orange and blueberry, lemon and mint…heavenly!

Omra

Omra

Omra is a nice restaurant without being overly arranged, with a pleasant terrace with wooden tables and chairs and a cozy interior. The menu is not very rich; I recommend the guacamole with nachos, rice balls with mango salad, French toast broccoli and potatoes.
Atmosphere and secluded location with greenery all around is a great place for a romantic meeting. At Omra they keep yoga classes and all sorts of enlightenment therapy for clients seeking peace.
